LeConte, you will realize why it takes so long to reach the top. You will feel like you are on top of the world! The hike is 11 miles roundtrip. Alums Cave can be found on the way to Mt. LeConte! This 4.4 mile round trip hike offers great views of the park at a shorter distance. The views from the cave are outstanding! This trail does receive a high volume of hikers in the summer months, get there early to ensure minimal hiker traffic!

Not a hiker? That’s okay too! Clingmans Dome offers one of the best views in the entire National Park! Hiking is minimal, and the payoff is worth every step! The dome is accessible by car; however, a 0.5 mile uphill hike is required to reach the dome. On a clear day, you can see for miles into the Smoky Mountains! You can also see to North Carolina from the dome on a clear day.
