Dollywood Theme Park Fun for all Seasons, especially Christmas!
If you love to celebrate the seasons, a trip to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is a must. Dollywood Theme Park now commands the attention of millions of guests annually – many, many thousands of them annual and regular guests. So, as one might imagine, to keep things fresh and interesting, Dollywood has come up with many special festivals and events during the seasons that create Smoky Mountain memories for the many families, couples and groups that attend.
Christmas is an incredibly special time at Dollywood. Absolutely nothing is spared turning the already-immaculately decorated theme park into a twilight winter wonderland for children and adults. If you haven’t seen Dollywood at night, with the millions of lights illuminating the entirety of whole buildings and tall trees all across park – man, its like you’ve never opened your eyes. In addition, Dollywood offers a lot more for them than the lights – don’t forget the many annual favorites of the restaurants, the Eagle sanctuary, the candy shops, clothing and art and stringed instruments, the train!
You see, Dollywood during Christmas isn’t just a place to see wonderous lights and decorations and carolers – its Dollywood on a whole different dynamic. Imagine riding a roller coaster in almost pitch black with cold wind whipping at your face and the Christmas lights going 100 MPH.
That in and of itself is a reason to check out Dollywood after dark (the wet rides, for obvious reasons, will not be in service). And don’t forget that Santa gets his workshop set up down at the Country Fair next to the Ferris Wheel.
