Summer Fun in Pigeon Forge

When you make plans to visit Pigeon Forge this summer for your family vacation or weekend getaway, we hope you keep in mind all of the summer fun Pigeon Forge has to offer for everyone during the summer. Whether you’re looking for water slides, pools, mountain adventures, or roller coasters, Pigeon Forge has all the summer fun you’ll need for you and your family on vacation.

Since there are so many fun-filled activities, events and things to do in Pigeon Forge, you may be wondering where to start, which is why today we’ve put together some of our favorite summer fun activities in Pigeon Forge for you to take a look at.

Dollywood’s Splash Country

If you’re really looking to beat the Smoky Mountain heat, there’s no better way to than at Dollywood’s splash country. This amusement park has 23 different water rides, several restaurants and snack shops, and summer essentials stores, something for everyone in the family to enjoy hours of fun. The park is open from May – September and is one of the top summer activities in Pigeon Forge.

Hike to a Waterfall in the Great Smoky Mountains

If you’re looking for another way to cool off from the summer heat, there’s no better place to visit than the actual Great Smoky Mountains National Park itself. One of our favorite waterfall hikes during the summer is Rainbow Falls, where you’ll get to view an 80-foot waterfall. Its mist creates a beautiful rainbow (hence the name!) on sunny afternoons and allows for a nice cool down while enjoying breathtaking views.

Eat Ice Cream at Old Mill Creamery

Another summer favorite in Pigeon Forge is grabbing a sweet treat at Old Mill Creamery. After spending the day exploring the city’s many attractions, treat yourself and the kids to some ice cream, there’s quite a variety to choose from!

Ride a Mountain Coaster

A mountain coaster is a bobsled like car fixed to a track with wheels. Basically, you’re riding through the Smokies with the breeze in your face, and you’re high up enough that the summer heat won’t bother you! Thrilling and fun for all ages!

After a fun-filled day of summer fun in Pigeon Forge, head back to your cabin rental to relax and maybe see those fireworks we were talking about. At Mountain Air Cabin Rentals, we have a wide variety of Pigeon Forge cabins that are perfect for the entire family!
