The Best Places To Eat In Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg is actually a small town. The local population is a small 4,000 people. During the holiday season though, tourists flock to the Smoky Mountains for great views, hiking opportunities and great skiing at Ober Gatlinburg.

If you are looking for dining experiences as unique as the attractions Gatlinburg has to offer, you are in luck. There is a great range of restaurants to satisfy the appetite you work up while hiking in the trails and enjoying our wide-open backcountry.

Log Cabin Pancake House

If you like breakfast, Gatlinburg is the place for you. People around here take breakfast seriously. Log Cabin Pancake House is the breakfast destination of choice for both locals and tourists alike.

There is certain to be a line out the door when you arrive, but don’t let that deter you from this fantastic breakfast experience. You’ll get through the line soon enough and be able to enjoy their renowned favorites such as cornmeal or buckwheat pancakes and decadent classics like French Toast Royale topped with bananas and cream-cheese sauce. With the portions the size that they offer, you should definitely consider making this your jumping-off point for a day of exploring the trails.

The Peddler Steakhouse

Overlooking Little Pigeon River, the Peddler Steakhouse was originally a dream home built in 1958 from the salvaged remnants of four old Sevier County cabins. In 1976 it was turned into Peddler Steakhouse, but lost none of its former appeal.

With tables overlooking the river, you’ll enjoy steakhouse favorites such as loaded potatoes and a salad spread that could satisfy even the strictest vegetarians. Hand-cut steaks are presented table-side before ordering so you can choose the perfect cut to satisfy your appetite.

The Buckhorn Inn

The Buckhorn Inn is a great restaurant known for it’s Southern-inspired four-course meal. Arrive early to enjoy a cocktail on their rocking-chair-lined veranda for one unforgettable view of the Smokies. When dining, you can enjoy seasonal favorites like braised-beef short ribs and cornmeal-crusted mountain trout.
